Parabens are widely used as antimicrobial preservatives in cosmetic products and pharmaceuticals. Therefore, their presence the environment is considered to be serious determination important. This paper reports development validation of a new method based on solid-phase microextraction (SPME) high-performance liquid chromatography – tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) for simultaneous five parabens (methylparaben (MP), ethylparaben (EP), propylparaben (PP), butylparaben (BP) benzylparaben (BzP)) surface water. The polymer sorbent was obtained by electropolymerization 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene stainless steel spring support. parameters affecting extraction efficiency were optimized. Under optimal conditions, recoveries ranged from 88 98% except BzP (70%).
